Look out, Texas retail electric providers, there's a new kid on the block!

Think Energy, a retail electricity provider focusing on residential and small commercial customers established by the French GDF SUEZ Energy Resources NA, announced yesterday that it is launching in Texas.

With the addition of Texas, Think Energy is present in 12 energy markets across the country, and counts customers in Connecticut, Delaware, D.C., Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. Think Energy prides itself on its competitive pricing, easy-to-use online tools, superior customer service, and its financial stability as a provider. The company was launched in 2011 by GDF SUEZ Energy Resources NA and is a part of the GDF SUEZ group of companies, which has over 175 years of experience in the energy business.

In Texas Think Energy is offering fixed rate plans at six, 12, 18, and 24 month terms. Think Energy's plans feature no monthly charges, and no cancellation fees, which is relatively rare amongst Texas retail electric providers. All Texas customers in AEP Texas, Oncor, CenterPoint Energy, and Texas-New Mexico Power service territories are eligible to choose Think Energy.
