Starting service with PPL Electric Utilities is simple when you follow our steps

I'm moving to the PPL Electric Utilities service area

If you're moving to an area in which PPL Electric provides service, you will need to open an account with the utility. The process for activating an account is quite simple. Try to provide at least five days' notice, though in some cases PPL Electric may be able to provide same day service.

To start service will PPL Electric you will need to have the following information handy:

  • Your full name and contact information (telephone number, email address)
  • Your new service address
  • The date that you would like for service to start
  • If your mailing address is different from the service address you will need to provide it as well
  • Your Social Security Number (SSN), in order to see if you are eligible to have your security deposit waived.

You will need to create a PPL Electric Utilities online account to use this service. Through the contractor services tool you can:

  • Create and manage multiple work orders
  • Track work orders with email notifications
  • Submit electrical inspections
  • Access a Help Center for guidance
