Everything Energy offers fixed and variable rates for power for Texas customers, as well as numberous customer rewards (air miles, etc). However, Everything Energy's offers are fairly limited compared to many of its competitors, and several customers seem to have encountered difficulties claiming their rewards. We rate the customer experience with Everything Energy 3 out of 5 stars.

Our Take on Everything Energy

With the right plan, we think you could be happy with Everything Energy. Some will appreciate their customer rewards programs, and their longer-term plans could offer the possibility of savings. Their green rates also appear to be quite competitive compared to many other Texas REPs, particularly for smaller power consumers. As so many of the negative customer reviews for Everything Energy are centered around the sales practices of their door-to-door agents, we think that customers that choose Everything Energy online or over the phone are probably more likely to have a positive experience with the company, as they will likely have had more time to compare offers before making a final choice.

BBB RANKING The Better Business Bureau gives Everything Energy D rating (as of June 2015). This score is based on the number of complaints filed for the size of the company (negative), versus the company's responsiveness to complaints and the length of time they have been operating (positive). Of the complaints that customers have published, most are related to billing and/or air mile reimbursement.

Prices

Everything Energy prices can be competitive though pricing can vary according to where you live.

  • Additional Charges: Everything Energy charges a $9.95 Usage Charge for customers who consume less than 1000 kWh/month

Customer Service

As is the case with all retail electric providers, customer reviews of Everything Energy are mixed. As mentioned previously, the majority of complaints about Everything Energy are about billing problems ().

  • Difficulty in redeeming promised rewards and/or air miles
  • Surprise additional charges on customer bills

Many customer complaints were also from customers who had been switched automatically to Everything Energy when they bought out Texas Power and APNA Energy. We think that new Everything Energy customers are more likely to have a positive experience as they will have had more control in their choice of energy provider.

Contract Conditions

We don't like that Everything Energy doesn't make their Terms and Conditions freely available on the same page as the EFL and contract information. However, you might want to be aware of the following:

  • No early termination fee if you move and provide proof
  • Minimum usage fee of $9.95 charged for consumption under 1000 kWh/month
  • Service processing fee of up to $5.95 for each payment not made through automated payment
