Balanced Billing

Customers can pay the average of their estimated yearly usage each month, so that their bills are the exact same every month. By the end of the year, customers pay the difference between their estimated and actual usage. Consumers may even get some money back.

Fixed Rate Savings

Fixed rate contracts are a better deal with alternate suppliers, because the amount you pay for natural gas per therm or electricity per kilowatt-hour remains the same for your entire contract period with fixed rates. These plans can protect you from market fluctuations over time.

We recommend contacts of 12 months or fewer for natural gas, and 18 months or more for electricity, based on their respective price trends.

Because variable rates are not regulated by your state government, they could very well become more expensive than rates offered by your local utility. We do not recommend variable rates from alternate suppliers like SJ Energy Partners.
