Inspire Energy Plans
At this time, Inspire Energy only offers variable rate plans. Variable rate plans are generally not a good idea with alternative suppliers, because prices are not regulated and are subject to increase more than your local utility's rates.

Inspire Energy Customer Rewards
Customers can earn rewards for loyalty with Inspire Energy. Depending on your plan, rewards usually include cash back at the following periods:
- 2-3 months: $15-25
- 12 months: 3-5% of your consumption
You can also earn $25 for each friend you refer that signs up with Inspire Energy.
Donating Your Rewards
Consumers can donate their cash rewards to environmental causes. In turn, Inspire Energy will match 10% of customer donations.
Incentives to Reduce Consumption
Inspire Energy doubles rewards for customers who reduce their electricity consumption by 20% or more in a year.
Customer Reviews for Inspire Energy
As a fairly new company, not much customer feedback is available yet. However, consumers do report that they appreciate the availability of green energy options with Inspire Energy. The Better Business Bureau gave Inspire Energy an A rating (as of February, 2016) for responding well to customer complaints.
However, as Inspire Energy only offers variable rate plans, consumers report that rates are subject to change drastically from one month to the next in comparison to their local utility.

Green Energy Sources
Inspire Energy purchases Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) for electricity generated from 100% renewable wind energy. Though customers may not consume green energy directly in their homes, purchasing RECs ensures that renewable energy is generated in the United States. For customers on 100% renewable energy plans, your energy consumption is matched 100% by RECs purchased on your behalf.
RECs sold by Inspire Energy support wind energy projects and generation in states across the east coast and midwest, including Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia.
