Types of Energy Supplied

As an alternative energy supplier, Oasis energy serves electricity and natural gas customers in the midwest and east coast.

Electricity Service

Oasis Energy serves both residential and commerical electricity customers in the following markets: Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.

Natural Gas Service

States receiving natural gas service include Maryland, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.

Rate Plans

Oasis Energy offers variable and fixed rate plans. We generally do not recommend variable rate plans, because they are not regulated by your state government and are subject to increase more than your local utility.

Fixed Rate Plans

Fixed rates are a better deal for electricity and natural gas, since you can lock in one rate for the entire period of your contract. For electricity, we recommend contract lengths of 18 months or more, and for natural gas we recommend contracts of a year or less.

Contract lengths with Oasis Energy include:

• 12 months
• 24 months
• 36 months

There are early termination fees for fixed rate plans with Oasis Energy. Fees are usually $12 for each month left on your contract when you cancel. You can cancel without a fee if you are moving and provide documentation of your move to Oasis Energy.

At the end of your contract period, you will be automatically put onto a variable rate energy plan.

For natural gas customers, there are plans with 5% carbon offset available.

Variable Rate Plans

Some customers are drawn to variable rates because there is no contract and therefore no early cancellation fee. However, variable rates are uncertain. Because they are unregulated, they often end up being a worse deal than what your local utility offers.

Oasis Energy does offer variable rate plans which guarantee a percentage of savings compared to your local utility each month. Offers can be up 8% less than your local utility's rates. These plans do have contracts, however, and cancellation fees are equal to the lesser of $150.00 or $8 per month remaining on the contract.

Plant a Tree

All new customers can have a tree planted for free through Oasis Energy's partnership with Treecycler. Customers can choose the location where they want the tree planted.

Customer Reviews

Savings with Oasis Energy can be quite significant on fixed rate plans, and some customers are very satisfied with their service.

Green Energy Plans

There are renewable energy options for both natural gas and electricity customers with Oasis Energy. In both types of plans, Oasis Energy offsets 100% of your energy use. You do not receive renewable energy directly in your home. Instead, Oasis Energy purchases Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) for electricity, and carbon offsets for natural gas which pay to support green energy generation and projects in the United States.

Green plans are available with fixed rate contracts ranging from 12 to 36 months.
