Gas on Long Island is National Grid, not PSEG LI

PSEG Long Island operates the LIPA electric grid only. If you smell gas or need to report a gas leak, call National Grid 24/7 at 1-800-892-2345 and leave the building. PSEG LI cannot dispatch gas crews.

What you can do here

  • Pay your bill in person (cash, check, money order);
  • Open a new electric account when moving in;
  • Close an account when moving out;
  • Submit ID, lease or landlord documents in person;

How PSEG LI fits with your ESCO choice

PSEG Long Island is always your delivery utility. You can keep PSEG LI for the electricity supply too, or switch the supply portion to a licensed ESCO for a different price per kWh. Either way, outages, meter reads and the wires on your street stay with PSEG LI.

Open your PSEG LI account first, then shop suppliers. Walk-in offices cannot enroll you with an ESCO, you do that directly with the supplier.
