How your Eversource bill is built
Every MA bill has two halves. Eversource is always the delivery company, but you can choose who handles supply.
Supply (shoppable)
- ·The price of the kWh you actually use.
- ·Basic Service from Eversource if you do nothing, reset every 6 months for residential.
- ·Competitive supplier or municipal aggregation if you shop.
- ·Switching never changes your wires or your bill payee.
Delivery (not shoppable)
- ·The cost of moving electricity through Eversource wires.
- ·Customer charge, a flat monthly fee paid even at zero kWh.
- ·Distribution + transmission per-kWh charges.
- ·Small adders for energy efficiency, renewable energy, and distributed solar.
