Natural Gas Emergencies

If you experience or witness a natural gas emergency, leave your home immediately and get to a safe place before calling 1-800-880-7734. This number is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Alternatively, you may call the power outages line at 1-800-436-7734

No Heat

If your heating isn't working, make sure to first check the emergency switch, pilot light and thermostat before you call or schedule an appointment. To schedule a "No Heat" appointment, call 1-800-436-7734, or schedule an appointment online through your PSEG My Account.

Power Outages

In the case of a power outage in the PSEG service territory, call 1-800-436-7734, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can also report outages online by logging in to your PSEG My Account, or check the PSEG Outage Map as well to check the status of the outage.

Streetlight Outages

You can report broken streetlights either online, through your PSEG My Account, or by calling 1-800-436-PSEG (7734).

Billing Questions

For information about your bill, your account balance, or to report a change of address, call 1-800-436-PSEG (7734). Hours for billing information and assistance are Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This service is closed on Sundays.

Bill Payment

You have two options for paying your PSEG electricity or gas bills over the phone. You can call 1-800-553-PSEG (7734) to pay by phone from your bank account, or call 1-888-575-6273 to pay by credit card. Note that while paying from your bank account is free, there is a $3.95 third party processing fee charged for paying by credit card.

Payment Assistance

Get in touch with PSEG as soon as possible if you think that you may not be able to make a payment, as you may be able to find a payment arrangement that works for you.

For more information about payment arrangements, call PSEG Collections at 1-800-357-2262, between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.


To speak to someone about an overdue bill, payment arrangements and shut off notices, call 1-800-357-2262. Please note that this department is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and is closed on weekends and holidays.

Meter Readings

You can submit a meter reading by phone at 1-800-436-PSEG (7734), or online through your PSEG My Account.

Worry Free Services

PSEG offers a number of home appliance protection plans and services. These include WorryFree Appliance Repair Protection Plans, Appliance Repair Service, and PSEG WorryFree Replacements. Business Solutions Center

PSEG business customers can call their toll-free Business Solutions Center line for all energy questions and concerns at 1-855-249-PSEG (7734). PSEG Business Solutions is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and on Saturdays from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.


PSEG stockholders can find more information on PSEG's website. PSEG uses Wells Fargo Shareowner Services (WFSS) as its Transfer Agent, Registrar, and Dividend Disbursing Agent for its common stock. Stockholders can call Wells Fargo Shareholder Services toll free at 1-800-242-0813. Their hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., though an automates service is available 24/7.
