O&R serves about 233,000 New York electric customers across Rockland, Orange and Sullivan counties. The company is a subsidiary of Consolidated Edison, Inc. (NYSE: ED), but operates as a separate utility with its own rate case and tariff. Its tri-state footprint also covers parts of New Jersey (Rockland Electric Company) and Pennsylvania (Pike County Light & Power); this page covers the NY office only.

Other Orange & Rockland offices nearby

O&R operates two other walk-in offices in its New York footprint. If you live south of Monroe, Spring Valley is usually closer; if you live west toward the Pennsylvania border, Port Jervis is the local stop.

If O&R is not your utility but you ended up here by mistake (for example you live downstate in New York City or Westchester), look for a Con Edison office instead — same parent company, different service territory.

Most tasks can be handled without a visit. The pages below cover the common O&R questions online or by phone.

O&R delivery rates are regulated by the New York Public Service Commission (PSC). Supply rates can be shopped through a PSC-licensed ESCO.
